The Interactive Clan Map
The main aim of the Clan Map is to provide a welcome pack for clansfolk visiting Scotland to help get in touch with official societies and associations and help these bodies attract new members.
There are links to useful civic websites including The Court of the Lord Lyon, a standing court of law, based in Edinburgh, which regulates all heraldry in Scotland. The Lyon Court maintains the register of grants of arms, known as the Public Register of All Arms and Bearings in Scotland, as well as records of genealogies.
There are no commercial advertisements in the Clan Map and the project is entirely supported though David's artwork including The Decorative Clan Map.
Heraldry and clans in Scotland are continually evolving so the Map PDF shall be updated periodically and new versions available on this page. Please check back or enter e-mail your address to be sent periodical updates.
